PEAK RAIL DAVID WILSON

 

 

Class 47638 introduced between 1963 to 67 originaly in two tone green. Seen here in the old British Rail livery, rail blue with the big logo. The logo still exsists at most stations and street signs with a orange/red background white logo. There were never changed under privatisation of 1997.

 

 

Class 50 029 British Rail livery introduced 1967 to 68. There were used in pairs on the West coast main line in 1970 to speed up timeings for the forth coming electifcation from Crewe to Glasgow which was completed for the 6th May 1974.

 

 

Class 47593 has been renamed Galoway Princess

 

 

The class 47s have been seen in many liveries over the last 50 years Coras Rail in two tone yellow & orange.

 

 

 

Class 20302, they we introduced from 1957 to 58 English Electric Type 1
